ABOUT THE KIT:

We designed this kit to fill a gap in the market for ZX10R fans, after seeing the performance that could be had turbocharging an earlier Gen 4  ZX10R, we decided on developing a kit for the current Gen 6 model, using experience gained from our Kawasaki H2 development we felt a rising boost level throughout the rev range would not only make the bike easier to ride fast, it would also be kinder on the stock engine. As the ZX10R has a relatively high 13:1 compression ratio we decided to limit the boost on pump fuel to 6psi @ 13500rpm rising from 3psi @ 5500rpm, this gives 250hp at the wheel up from 175hp that the stock bike made with a slipon & tune . E85 allows us to run a higher boost level with more ignition timing while still being safe for the stock engine, max boost is set to 10psi @13500rpm rising from 7psi @ 6000rpm & giving us the maximum of 300hp+ at the wheel. The kit does require the removal of the bikes factory oil cooler & can be used without one for roll racing & drag racing although in hot climates or for everyday street use a water/oil cooler from an earlier 16-20 model will fit & can be adapted to work ,please contact us if you plan to do this as some changes are required. 

 

ZX10R Gen 6 turbo kit includes:

  • Pulsar GT2860R turbo with 0.64 Stainless Vee band exhaust housing

  • 3D printed 316L Stainless Vee band header 

  • Turbosmart Gen 4 CompGate 40 external wastegate

  • 3D Printed stainless dump pipe to 3" pipe **also available in titanium ** (optional muffler see description ) 

  • 3D printed  Aluminium charge pipe ** Also available in titanium**

  • Optional Left hand side 3D printed short dump exhaust available in 316L stainless or Titanium 

  • Billet oil cooler block off plate with Hel braided oil feed line with restrictor, check valve & fittings

  • Oil scavenge pump, Quality anodised aluminium fittings, rubber oil return hoses & stainless clamps

  •  High quality Silicone hoses & stainless steel hose clamps

  • Billet machined 2 piece plenum with O-ring seals to the throttle body & 3D printed IMU mount, stainless ESD ECU & relay mounts 

  • Billet upper fuel rail with Bosch 980cc injectors wiring adapters OEM style fuel fitting (or optional AN-6 fitting)

  • 25mm Turbosmart Kompact Blow off Valve

  • Custom designed & billet CNC machined Fuel delivery system incorporating a quality E85 rated fuel pump, 1:1 rate regulator & fuel level sender mount, fuel pressure gauge & quality fittings which accepts factory fuel line fittings (or optional AN-6) & factory wiring plug. Fit’s the stock fuel tank with no modification.

  • Power commander 6 with a Base Map & Woolich base map file included for both pump fuel & E85 as well

OPTIONAL EXTRAS:

Either a Pre-mapped DYNOJET Power Commander 6 fuel injection module, we have made this optional in case you already own one

a MAX ECU mini with plug in harness 

Either system requires an ECU reflash as well we supply a Woolich racing ECU flash base map with the kit that can have both Pump fuel & E85 maps installed, selected via the OEM rider mode switch.

Heavy Duty Clutch Springs, these are recommended as the stock clutch can slip under hard acceleration eg: drag racing

SC Project S1 Titanium muffler & link pipe with carbon fibre end cap, *may add 1 week to delivery time*

Makes 115 ft/lb by 9000rpm to a maximum 125 ft/lbs of torque at 12000rpm

250hp+ at 6psi on Pump 98 octane *US 93 octane fuel*

300hp+ at 10psi on Pump E85 fuel

Kit includes a Pulsar 2860 turbo with stainless external wastegate housing, we can supply without the turbo if you want to source your own, any turbo with the same inlet flange & footprint will fit, eg: the Garrett GTX2867 or the G25 550-660, some wastegate position mods may be required though.

All dyno tested using BP ultimate pump 98 octane fuel

Total kit weighs approximately 14.5 KG & as light as 12.5Kg with Titanium side exit (see next line)

Approximately 15Kg worth of factory parts are removed to fit this kit meaning 0.5kg to 2.5kg of weight is removed with the kit fitted compared to a stock bike.

Titanium 3"exhaust option weighs 1 kg which is 1kg lighter than the Stainless version

Titanium side exit only weighs 350 grams vs 700grams for the stainless one 

Can be fitted comfortably in 1 day using basic hand tools by someone with good mechanical knowledge, no welding required

Engine Reliability & longevity depends on how you maintain your bike, with our turbo kit fitted there's no reason your bike shouldn't last as long as a stock bike keeping in mind the increase in power & torque also the added  load on the engines lubrication system means oil changes need to be kept more regular, about every 2500 klms (1600miles) & the quality of fuel used should also be a major consideration *use only high octane or E85 fuel*  then you & your bike will have a long & happy life together.

Unless we're fitting the kit, the final dyno tuning is the customers responsibility, dyno tuning is essential to make sure everything is working correctly & is optimised for the fuel being used.

Please keep in mind that turbos aren't for the faint hearted; this kit will give you MASSIVE power increases! Our turbo kits are to be used in closed course competition only, while road registration & insurance can be obtained for a motorcycle fitted with one of our turbo kits it is solely the responsibility of each customer to obtain the required certification for this as each country & state may have different requirements for this process. Extreme Creations accepts no responsibility whatsoever for insurance claims on motorcycles fitted with one of our turbo kits.
