There has been a number of cases where the OEM plenum base will fail when subjected to increased boost as pressures are pushed past what the OEM plenums were designed for. The lid is not as suseptible to failure due to its pressure vessle type shape but the base is flat in design & at only 2mm thick Kawasaki obviously designed it close to the limit to keep it as light as possible, failures have been documented in both the original style H2 plenums (black sandcast) & the H2SX, Later H2 & ZH2 (silver die cast) models. From mild cracking to explosive failures that can also damage the throttle body & other components.
We have developed this heavy duty plenum base that is a direct replacement for the OEM unit except it is made from billet aluminium & is 4mm thick instead of 2mm.
We have also incorporated an O-Ring seal so you can do away with the OEM gasket or the OEM gasket can be used instead if you prefer.
Accepts both the OEM BOV or our Turbosmart Upgraded one.
Accepts the OEM Velocity stacks, bolts & Dowel pins
Mounts to the throttle body using all OEM hardware
Available as an OEM replacement or with the water ports to accept our Hybrid or ZH2 intercooler core.
Supplied with an O-Ring seal. No bolts supplied.
