About Hyperdrive

One of the main problems with trying to reach high speed (200mph+ in Land speed racing events) on the Ninja H2 is that a small enough rear sprocket cannot be fitted to OEM cush drive assembly to achieve the required gearing ratio, the smallest sprocket possible on the OEM hub is a 41 tooth, to fix this situation we have developed this Inner cush drive hub dubbed the "Hyperdrive" that will accept a 38 tooth sprocket & is a direct replacement unit that comes with a new High quality Japanese bearing, oil seal & O ring pre fitted to the hub, with your choice of 525 or 530 pitch 7075 anodized aluminium sprocket also pre fitted, when combined with a 19 tooth front sprocket a seriously tall gearing ratio can be achieved.

The factory chain pitch is 525 although some customers may wish to perform a 530 chain upgrade especially in a high horsepower application, so we have included this as an option.

Another benefit is when higher supercharger boost levels are being used this can  make the bike quite aggressive to ride in the lower gears, the taller gearing available with the Hyperdrive also has the effect of softening this & makes the bike easier to live with in the lower gears.

The video below show how easy the Hyperdrive is to fit.

Gearing Facts

Stock final drive gearing

18/44  311 km/h (193mph) @13000 rpm

Front sprocket change only

19/44 328km/h (203mph) @ 13000 rpm

Tallest possible gearing on factory cush drive & front sprocket

19/41 352km/h (218mph) @13000 rpm

Extreme Creations Hyperdrive & 40 tooth sprocket, 19 tooth front sprocket.

19/40 361km/h (224mph) @ 13000 rpm

Extreme Creations Hyperdrive & 38 tooth sprocket, 19 tooth front sprocket.

19/38 (22% taller than stock gearing) 380km/h (236mph) @ 13000 rpm

Or

410 km/h (254mph) @14000 rpm (Note: this is with an ECU reflash to raise the rev limit)

*NEW 37 Tooth 525 limited use sprockets now available*

These are designed to be used at LSR & top speed events only, when using a 37 tooth sprocket the chain will run very close to the sprocket mounting bolts which doesn't allow for much wear in the sprocket so we recommend these only be used during speed events & not as an everyday sprocket. The 37 tooth sprocket has an expected life of approximately 5000 klms (about 3000 miles) although chain clearance should be checked regularly.

Also please consider whether your bike will have the power to actually make use of this size sprocket.

19/37  (25% taller than stock gearing ) 391 km/h (243 mph) @ 13000 rpm

or 421 km/h (261 mph) @ 14000 rpm

Please note these figures are calculated gearing ratios only & things like weather conditions, rider size & engine power will all have effect on the actual acheiveable top speed numbers.

*Hyperdrive is for closed circuit competition use only & we do not condone speeding on public roads under any circumstances *
