We sorted the misfiring issue & the bike now feels great to ride with a very healthy 250+ hp at the wheel.

The turbo R1 is almost all done, we are just waiting on a few final pieces to turn up.
It's been on the dyno & has made 225rwhp on just 5psi, the motor is still stock so we haven't pushed too much boost into it as yet.

We've had many emails asking if the turbo R1 was finished yet, well the answer is not yet but it's getting close, this bike is also getting a 240 rear tyre & we've just finished the one off custom billet swingarm for it, here's a few photos of the finished product. Here's the completed lid of the plenum for the turbo R1, it incorporates the secondary injectors & custom fuel rail, & also carries a mount for the ECU as it needs to be relocated on this conversion.

Well its been a busy start to the year, we've been working on the Turbo R1 & the billet plenum is well underway, it has a water/ air intercooler built into the front half.

It's been a busy week, we've managed to finish off the turbo headers, these are made from 316 grade heavy wall stainless & a custom CNC machined 316 stainless header plate. This header will give us great flow & plenty of support for the turbo. Next we'll be looking at the radiator & the up pipe from the turbo. The plan is for a water to air intercooler setup also.

We have started building the custom turbo kit for the R1, all the parts for the conversion have arrived, now the fabrication begins.
On this bike we are using a Tial stainless exhaust housing & as you can see it's considerably lighter & more compact than the standard Garrett item, the turbo is a Garrett GT2871. We are also using a Turbosmart Compgate 40 wastegate so the internal gate is not required.

We put the R1 on the Dyno to see what it made before the turbo system was fitted & it made 178.7 RWHP on the Dyno Dynamics dyno. Currently the bike has a full Akrapovic exhaust system K&N filter & an AFR Tuner fitted.

The next project we are undertaking is finishing off this 2009 R1 streetfighter,so far the owner Brock has already removed the fairings fitted a full Akrapovic exhaust system, Ohlins suspension, Carrozzeria wheels, an AFR tuner, K&N filter, FZ1 Headlight, as well as many billet bolt on goodies, he also designed the triple clamps & had us machine them up for him. After seeing the ZX10R turbo we recently completed the turbo bug hit & he's decided to go all out, on the list of things to do is to fabricate & fit a complete intercooled turbo system, 240 rear wheel conversion with one of our custom Billet +6" swingarms, a custom radiator, fit up lots of supplied trick carbon fibre & billet parts & general finishing off of the bike.
